  • Auto Hobby Shop to stay open

    The Auto Hobby Shop has received a reprieve from the planned Oct. 1 closing date. Although still working toward financial sustainability, it will remain open under a get-well plan. Now open Wednesday through Saturday, the hobby shop focuses on do-it-yourself customers. Mechanics will be available

  • Heating system start-up

    Civil Engineers are scheduled to begin the transition from facility cooling to heating Oct. 15. Priority, mission-critical facilities, 24-hour facilities and other community support facilities will be changed over first. Engineering technicians will work the transition with each facility manager.

    Movies Under the Stars has been rescheduled for dusk Friday, Oct. 5, at Hardin Field. The movie will be "The Lorax." Bring a blanket and enjoy the free showing and free popcorn, cotton candy, water and juice boxes. No pets and no smoking.

    The Armed Services Blood Program will conduct a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at Kirtland AFB . Donated blood goes directly to support casualties of Operation Enduring Freedom.
