KIRTLAND AFB, N.M. -- The President of the United States has designated the Friday before Mother's Day as "Military Spouse Appreciation Day."
Kirtland Air Force Base will recognize spouses with events over a three-day period. The events are:
-- On Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the Consolidated Support Facility, there will be an exhibition/information fair and bingo with prizes. Refreshments will be served.
-- On Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m., the focus will be on fitness, with a walk around Hardin Field, then a Zumba demonstration and a cooking class with wine tasting.
-- On May 11, from 9 a.m. to noon, will be a morning of pampering with massages, makeovers, manicures, pedicures and a beauty consultant. Refreshments will be served.
All Kirtland AFB military spouses are invited to attend and participate.
