Unsafe driving practices on base are becoming out of control! Is there anything that can be done?

I have recently noticed a sharp increase of interest and concern regarding traffic
violations on Kirtland AFB, specifically in our school zones, residential neighborhoods, and violations by those who use short-cuts to by-pass road construction. To help correct this problem the 377th Security Forces Squadron has placed additional emphasis on the enforcement of traffic regulations by increasing the number of personnel in the areas identified above and using other traffic enforcement methods. They will continue to issue written reminders for folks who do not obey the law.

One of the great things about being a member of the military community is that it is a safe place to live and work. This endeavor is a team effort and I encourage everyone to not only obey the rules of the road as the law requires, but to go that extra step to do your part in setting the example as a courteous and safe driver.

If you observe any traffic violations that you feel should be reported, please contact the 377th Security Forces Law Enforcement Desk at 846-7913. Prompt notification will allow our on-duty patrols the opportunity to take immediate action to resolve the issue.
