KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- All food vendors requesting access to Kirtland AFB must now coordinate admission through the 377th Force Support Squadron’s food and beverage manager. This will include temporary food facilities, such as food trucks, special event booths and fundraisers.
Kirtland Air Force Base Instruction establishes a formal operation to process all food vendors onto the base. The FSS will function as the main point of contact for all future temporary food facilities operations, specifically food booths and/or food trucks operated by private individuals or off base food vendors. The 377 FSS will coordinate with the appropriate agencies for compliance and food safety.
The goal of the new process is to protect Airmen and their families through food safety.
This guidance is effective immediately, and all food vendors’ base passes are now void. Food vendors requesting access to the base will be placed on a concessionaire contract with FSS, who will maintain a master list of all approved vendors and authorized locations.
For more information or to gain approval, food vendors or operators should contact FSS at 846-4862 or 377FSWF.workflow@us.af.mil.
