  • KAFB instructors teach riders to stay safe on the roads

    Although COVID-19 has closed many facilities and canceled courses that Kirtland Air Force Base normally offers, the motorcycle safety course is not one of them. After being compelled to cancel numerous classes, courses resumed on April 16, 2020.

    The Kirtland Air Force Base Chapel staff coordinated the first “drive-in” catholic service in the chapel parking lot at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, July 12, 2020. The service allowed for parishioners to come together, while following social distancing protocols for large gatherings.

    The Air Force Research Laboratory summer internship program for students left the terrestrial realm for the extra-terrestrial this year. The program serves students ranging from high school to a doctoral pursuit.

  • KAFB Spouses "Make Cake Not Hate"

    A dedicated group of Team Kirtland military spouses started the “Make Cake Not Hate” fundraiser. This virtual bake sale donates 100% of the proceeds to various charitable organizations throughout the local Albuquerque, New Mexico community.
