An unoccupied eagle’s nest remains undisturbed near an unexploded Word War II-era ordinance disposal site at the Pueblo of Acoma, New Mexico, May 20, 2026. Airmen assigned to the 377th Explosive Ordinance Disposal team coordinated with New Mexico State Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal personnel, environmental specialists, New Mexico Fish and Wildlife officials, and Pueblo of Acoma representatives to safely dispose of the unexploded ordinance while protecting local wildlife habitats and minimizing environmental impact.
