Lt. Gen. Brian Robinson, commander of Air Education and Training Command, takes part in a panel discussion at the Air and Space Forces Association’s Air, Space & Cyber Conference Sept. 17, 2024, at National Harbor, Md. Other panel members were Lt. Gen. Adrian Spain, deputy chief of staff for Air Force Operations; Maj. Gen. Randall Jefferson, special assistant to the director of the Air National Guard; and retired Gen. Jeff Harrigian, vice president of strategic campaigns for aeronautics strategy and business development for Lockheed Martin. Among the topics discussed were key training priorities, including ensuring adequate resources, improving simulator instructor staffing, and integrating new technologies to continue to produce quality Air Force pilots. Panel members discussed how innovative approaches are being used to enhance and advance cognition while accurately replicating threat environments and mitigating growing airspace requirements and operational security concerns for advanced capabilities. The technology exposition brings together Air Force leadership, industry experts, academia as well as aerospace and cyberspace specialists from around the world to discuss the issues and challenges facing America today.
