New cargo loading system sees first operational use

Aircrew members from the 758th Airlift Squadron and ground crew members from the 28th Logistics Readiness Squadron position vertically stacked cargo onto the bay of a C-17 Globemaster III at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, Feb. 19, 2024. In support of operational readiness, the 28th LRS coordinated with the 758th Airlift Squadron from Scott Air Force Base, Illinois to implement and execute vertical pallet stacking in order to maximize cargo space.
