U.S. Air Force veteran Melinda Quick poses for a portrait in recognition of Veterans Day at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., Oct. 27, 2021. Quick served for 10 years as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic where she maintained equipment such as gas turbine engines, hydraulic test stands and much more. “I value my experience’s the most,” said Quick. “I got to travel the world, mostly to tropical locations, including a deployment! I also have to mention that I truly value the lifelong friendships I have made.” Quick now works as a Paralegal Specialist at the Kirtland Legal Office where she drafts wills, Power of Attorney’s, and provides notary services for Active Duty members, retirees and dependents.
