Multiple military and government agencies on Kirtland Air Force Base took part in the Air Force Global Strike Command 2021 Global Thunder exercise Oct. 21, 2020. One scenario involved reacting to an active shooter incident, including security forces and mass-casualty responses, in addition to realistic simulations of gunfire and medical triage. Global Thunder is a multi-domain exercise to ensure readiness and lethality across the nuclear enterprise. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Austin Prisbrey)
