Alert Route Beacon Tower

A car pulls over while an Alert Route Beacon Tower flashes on Texas Street recently. The beacons have been installed to ensure aircrews can travel to the flightline quickly and safely. The flashing yellow lights are a warning for motorists of potential emergency vehicles traveling on the route and motorists are advised to pull over and stop for any approaching emergency vehicle with lights and sirens. Drivers should pull over to the far right as safely as possible, and come to a complete stop, then wait for alert vehicles to pass and beacons to stop flashing before proceeding.
