Historic WWII Unit Visits Kirtland

Paul A. Mitchell, a member of the historic 463rd Bombardment Group of World War II fame, shares war stories with Senior Airman Ernest D. Brown, Law Enforcement Services, during a lunch at Kirtland Air Force Base Oct. 17. The 463rd BG has regular reunions in different cities around the world. For 2014, the group chose Albuquerque, New Mexico and were absolutely delighted with their reception. "This is the warmest welcome we've ever received," said Meg Christenson, a member of the tour. "Kirtland makes me proud to be from Albuquerque! You have really honored these World War II Vets." (US Air Force Photo by Todd Berenger/Released)
