Lt. Col. Robert Garrison, left, 377th Logistics Readiness Squadron commander, surprises Staff Sgt. Jameel Tyson with new stripes. Tyson, NCO in charge of logistics plans for the LRS, was STEP promoted to technical sergeant. The Stripes for Exceptional Performers program allows commanders the opportunity to immediately promote enlisted Airmen who exhibit exceptional potential but have been unable to meet the cutoff for promotion in terms of points. Among his many accomplishments, Tyson received the AFMC Logistics Plans NCO of the Year Award and was a John L. Levitow award winner for exemplary demonstration of excellence, both as a leader and a scholar, at Airman Leadership School. (Photo by Todd Berenger)
