The U.S. Air Force sign near the Gibson gate, on the southwest corner of the intersection of Gibson and Louisiana boulevards, was damaged Jan. 19 when a driver attempted to avoid something in the road, overcorrected and ran into the sign, destroying the right side. The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital. The sign will be replaced, with no time estimate for the repair. (Photo by Dennis Carlson)
