BASH

BASH programs developed at Kirtland’s Air Force Safety Center are used at airfields around the world to reduce the chances of bird strikes, which pose a safety hazard. One method to scare birds is through a Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard cannon, like the one seen here being inspected by Airman Warren Washington, 39th Operations Squadron airfield management operations coordinator.
