Kirtland AFB Tax Center volunteer Dan Dolan, left, helps Senior Airman Kanyesha Hardin, 377th Mission Support Group, prepare an income tax return March 13. The Kirtland AFB Tax Center will be open through April 12 to provide free tax-filing services to eligible customers (E-6s and below, O-3s and below, and retirees with gross income of $60,000 and below.) Hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, by appointment. The Tax Center is in the Consolidated Support Building, between the Military Personnel Section and the Defense Biometric Identification System office. For the most part, Tax Center volunteers will be filing electronic tax returns, which means faster refunds for those who get refunds. Call 853-1700 to make an appointment.
