Join the Green Knights Motorcycle Club, Chapter 102, on a ride Saturday, May 4, to the Fort Craig National Historic Site. The fort, established in 1854, was important in the Indian campaigns and the Civil War. It was home to the "Buffalo Soldiers" of the Ninth Cavalry, the 38th and 125th Infantries, and the New Mexico volunteers and militia. There are no fees for the site. The club will meet at the East Side Express at 8:30 a.m. and leave at 9 a.m. The ride is 126 miles long and should take about two hours. Afterward, riders will stop at the Buckhorn Tavern in San Antonio to try the seventh-best green chile burger, as rated by the Food Network. For more information, contact Tech. Sgt. Benjamin Sybert at benjamin.sybert@kirtland.af.mil or 1st Lt. Aaron Hock at aaron.hock@kirtland.af.mil or 308-340-5691.
