Hometown: El Paso, Texas

Goals: Joens' long term goal is to be the best mother she can be to her kids.  Additionally, she wants to outrank her father, who is a USAF veteran.   

Accomplishments: Joens has been stationed at Kirtland since December 2015. She has relentlessly worked in a task-saturated position as the only personnelist in the largest squadron on Kirtland Air Force Base. She has balanced her high ops work tempo with continual volunteer work, both on and off base. Most recently, she packaged more than 12,000 cookies and ensured they were delivered to more than 500 Airmen in the dorms. She also gift wrapped toys for the “Toys for Tots” holiday campaign. Joens just completed an algebra class at Lewis University and holds a 4.0 GPA. She is only one class away from her CCAF degree.
