Padilla named award winner Published May 12, 2011 By Stefan Bocchino 377th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Kirtland Air Force Base -- Jeanette Padilla, Chief of Force Sustainment, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, was named the Air Force Manpower and Personnel Operational Manager of the Year for 2010. She was lauded for her superior work at the AFNWC on personnel actions including managing various programs and working to ensure hiring actions were completed in a timely manner. Her superior performance led to ontime transactions with zero errors ensuring high quality candidates filled critical vacancies. "I am humbled, grateful," said Ms. Padilla. "Past and present leaders that I've had throughout my career have had an enormous impact on me, on what I have accomplished, and how far I've come." She was also praised for her work on self-improvement and community involvement. She took part in various leadership programs. Ms. Padilla was also active in community involvement, including being a Wounded Warrior program supporter and sponsoring families in need for Christmas. "I'm grateful not only to the leaders but to the people who work with me on a day-to-day basis," said Ms. Padilla. "You can't do something like this unless you're part of a team. Give credit to the entire Manpower and Personnel Directorate. I work with a great team and have a wonderful family support system."
