CJR program suspended until further notice Published Oct. 28, 2013 By Senior Master Sgt. Michelle Graves 377th Force Support Squadron KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The Career Job Reservation program has been suspended by the Air Force until further program guidance becomes available. Any Airmen who was in a constraining career field with a February 2014 date of separation will not receive a CJR. For those four-year enlistees with a TAFMSD of February 2010 and six-year enlistees with a TAFMSD of February 2008, September was the last month to compete for a CJR; therefore, they will not be awarded a CJR. Any Airmen who is within their CJR window and still competing for a CJR quota as of Oct. 1 will be awarded a CJR. Airmen not approved for retraining, no longer in their CJR window, and were removed from the wait list will not receive supplemental consideration. There are still options available if an Airman wants to stay in the Air Force. One option is try to retrain into another AFSC. In accordance with the Airman retraining program, Airman may reapply once if the Airman is on the Air Force CJR waiting list and was removed from the Air Force CJR waiting list, and is not within 120 days of DOS. These Airmen will be ranked for the month in which their retraining application is received and will require an exception to policy letter. To take advantage of this the Airman will have to request an initial eligibility check for up to five AFSCS and then submit all required documentation no later than Oct. 31.
