Team Kirtland job fair scheduled for April 16 Published April 15, 2014 By Adam Bailey Nucleus staff writer KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The Team Kirtland job fair provides a chance to find work or start a new career with a variety of employers. This will be the first of two job fairs hosted annually by the Airman and Family Readiness Center. "The fair will have tons of opportunities with various local and national employers," said Renee Lipscomb, job fair organizer. Employers will include the Albuquerque Police Department, U.S. Forest Service, New Mexico Workforce Connections, Sandia National Laboratories and University of New Mexico. The fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 16 at the Mountain View Club. It's open to active-duty and retired military, Guardsmen, Reservists, Department of Defense civilians and their dependents. Attendees are encouraged to bring their résumé and dress in uniform or business attire. The readiness center will also have a home-based career and telework job development workshop from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 1 in the Consolidated Support Building, Suite 120. The workshop is for spouses of active-duty Air Force members and is sponsored by the Air Force Aid Society. "The workshop will be great. ... It will have tons of information," Lipscomb said.
