Members of Team Kirtland gathered to celebrate the newest graduates of the Community College of the Air Force on March 14. The ceremony marked a significant academic achievement and a testament to the dedication and resilience of the Airmen who graduated.

Earning a CCAF degree is no small feat. Airmen must complete technical training, fulfill general education requirements, and pass additional courses, all while meeting the daily demands of military service. This accomplishment often requires sacrificing personal time, late nights of studying, and an unwavering determination. Yet, for those who persevere, the reward is more than a degree; it is a symbol of personal growth, professional development and commitment to excellence.

“I’m filled with an immense sense of pride—pride in each and every graduate seated here today,” said Chief Master Sgt. Antonio Cooper, 377th Air Base Wing command chief. “Earning a CCAF degree while shouldering the immense responsibilities of military service is no small feat. It demonstrates a steadfast commitment to self-improvement, leadership, and the pursuit of excellence.”

During the ceremony, Airmen walked across the stage to receive their diplomas, greeted with applause from their peers, leadership, and loved ones. Many graduates shared stories of their journeys—some overcoming deployments, family obligations, and challenging coursework to reach this milestone.

Senior Airman Jessica Martinez reflected on her experience. “There were times I wanted to give up. Between work, PT, and personal responsibilities, it felt overwhelming. But my mentors and fellow Airmen encouraged me to keep going. Now, standing here with my diploma, I know every late night was worth it.”

The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the Air Force’s dedication to education and professional development. Leadership emphasized that the skills and knowledge gained through the CCAF program will not only benefit individual careers but also enhance mission readiness.

As the graduates celebrated with their families and fellow Airmen, the ceremony served as a reminder that education is a continuous journey—one that strengthens both the individual and the Air Force as a whole. With this achievement, Kirtland’s newest CCAF graduates join a proud tradition of enlisted Airmen who embody the core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.
