Join outdoor recreation for a chance to climb the Organ Mountains of southern New Mexico. This jagged range is just outside of Las Cruces and boasts some of the best climbing in the country. Registration for spring baseball begins March 5. This is a recreational intramural league for ages 5 and up. Registrations may be picked up at the front desk. Please stop by or call 853-5437 for more information. Volunteer Raft Guide Starting in April you can be trained as a volunteer raft guide for the summer season. Training costs $100 and will be held most weekends in April. The fee will be fully refunded at the end of the season to guides who complete all training, are chosen to be part of the volunteer team and who fulfill their guiding commitment. Lopez Drill Meet in honor of the 1967 Rio Grande High School who was killed in Viet Nam over 38 years ago. This drill meet will serve as the catalyst in creating two scholarships for Rio Grande High School JROTC Drill Team members in LCpl Lopez' name. The event is free and open to the public. Bataan Memorial March The 18th Annual Bataan Memorial Death March will take place at White Sands Missile Range on March 25, offering a 26.2-mile course and a 15.2-mile course. Both courses take participants through sandy trails and washes as well as over paved roads. The cost to register is $50 for individuals and $200 for a team. Mail in registration postmark deadline is no later than March 11. Online registration closes at midnight MST on March 18. There are additional fees for late registration.
