Joe Sciabica assigned as AFRL’s executive director Published Dec. 26, 2007 KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, New Mexico -- Joe Sciabica has been assigned as the executive director of the Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He is replacing Lester McFawn who is retiring. Mr. Sciabica will be replaced as AFRL director of Sensors Directorate by Dr. David M. Jerome, previously the Air Force Materiel Command, Air, Space and Information Operations deputy director. All positions are at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Also announced is that Dr. Jim. F. Riker is the new AFRL Space Vehicles Directorate chief scientist here. Dr. Riker is the former Directed Energy Directorate's Optics Division technical director here and he replaced Dr. Robert Morris.
