KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, New Mexico -- Kirtland AFB is searching for qualified students who have the skills needed to fill clerical, engineering and labor positions all over the base through the Student Temporary Employment Program, or STEP. It's an opportunity to earn money and continue your education, to train with people who manage the day-to-day business of the Air Force and to gain valuable on-the-job experience.

Eligibility Requirements

· must be 16 years or older

· 2.0 GPA minimum

· be enrolled/accepted for enrollment as a degree-seeking student

· taking at least half-time academic/vocational course load in an accredited high school, tech/voc school, or university

· be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

How to Apply

A detailed resume, copy of your current school schedule and official transcripts must be dropped off or mailed to the Civilian Personnel Flight. If there is any missing documentation the application will not be considered.
