Medical awards announced Published Feb. 20, 2009 KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, New Mexico -- The Air Force Surgeon General's Medical Force Development Directorate announced the winners of the Annual Air Force Medical Services Award Competition. The 377th Medical Operations Squadron's Family Practice Clinic was selected as the Air Force Medical Service Clinical Optimization Team of the Year and Tech. Sgt. Daniel Pena was selected as the Air Force Medical Service Medical Enlisted Corps Mobilization Augmentee of the Year. Sergeant Pena received a congratulatory letter from Col. Barbara Petersen, Air Force Reserve Command, program manager, Robins AFB, Ga. Also selected for an individual award was Maj. Keith D. Higginbotham, 58th Special Operations Wing. He was selected as the Human Performance Training Officer of the Year.
