Logistics Readiness Squadron Wins AF-level awards

The 377th Logistics Readiness Squadran has been chosen as the 2009 Air Force Logistics Readiness Squadron, Non-Flying Unit winner.

Lt. Col. Eric Ellmyer, 377th LRS commander, was also named the Colonel Cynthia L. Benulis Air Force Logistics Readiness Field Grade Officer of the Year.

These awards recognize individuals and organizations within the logistics community for outstanding contributions to the success of AF and DOD missions. More than 400 nominations were submitted.

Kirtland officer named AETC's Huyser Award nominee

Air Education and Training Command announced April 9 that Capt. Kevin J. Bishop, 58th Operations Support Squadron, is the command's nominee for the 2009 General Robert "Dutch" Huyser Award, in the navigator category.

The Huyser Award is presented annually to identify and recognize an outstanding pilot, navigator, flight engineer, loadmaster, and boom operator for sustained excellence in airmanship.

Maj. Gen. Anthony F. Przybyslawski, vice commander of AETC, said, "The winners represent our best, and we proudly forward their packages to the next level of competition. Please extend my sincere congratulations and appreciation to all nominees for their outstanding contributions. Likewise, I greatly appreciate the time and effort invested by commanders and supervisors to recognize their superior performers."
