Release #10-16

As part of the U.S. Air Force's force structure changes for Fiscal Year 2011, Kirtland AFB is set to gain 29 military and 36 civilian positions beginning Sept. 30, 2010.

Many of these additional positions are a result of contractor-to-civilian conversions and strengthening and supporting security forces manpower requirements.

Additionally, the 71st Special Operations Squadron will receive its sixth CV-22 and the 550th Special Operations Squadron will receive its first MC-130J in FY 11.
