The Air Force Single Staffing Tool will be deployed to all Air Force Materiel Command locations and Hurlburt Field on April 1, requiring employees to use a resume when applying for vacant positions. Current employees are highly encouraged to begin developing a resume highlighting their knowledge, skills and abilities, based on employment history, for future career opportunities.

The vacancy announcements for all Air Force locations except Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., will be posted at www.afciviliancareers.com and www.usajobs.gov. Luke AFB will remain under the legacy staffing process until the base's labor obligations are met.

The website, www.afciviliancareers.com, has extensive information on all aspects of civilian service. Helpful information is available on how to apply for jobs, USAJOBS tutorials for first-time applicants, and assistance in writing a resume.

Employees at bases other than Luke AFB who are registered in the Civilian Announcement Notification
System for their locations will receive at least two notifications of the change in procedures.

For help with writing a resume for federal employment, call the Airman & Family Readiness Center at 846-0741. The center, in the Consolidated Support Facility, Building 20245, Suite 126, is open from 7:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information, call the Kirtland AFB Civilian Personnel Section at 846-9556.
