AFSC hosting ‘brown bag’ session

Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. --  The next Air Force Safety Center "Brown Bag" session will start at noon March 28 in the AFSC auditorium. The guest speaker will be Butch Tongate, acting deputy secretary of the New Mexico Environment Department.

In his presentation, "Is OSHA Effective?," Tongate will describe the differences between federal OSHA and state plan OSHA programs, the relationships between the two, and the efforts to determine the effectiveness of the programs in preventing workplace injuries and illnesses.
