The 377th Air Base Wing Public Affairs office is the public releasing authority and conducts security and policy review on topics, briefings, speeches, papers and policies.

Security and policy review is a requirement overseen by public affairs that strives to ensure information is released quickly and accurately, and that the information conforms to Air Force and Department of Defense policies.

Security and policy review has two main objectives; to review information that is released to the public with the intent to better acquaint them with and increase their awareness of the Air Force's mission, operations and programs and to ensure maximum disclosure and minimum delay in that process.

Below is a quick reference guide on the security and policy review process.

Who
All Air Force military, civilian and contractor personnel who are writing, speaking or presenting on topics related to their duties must submit materials for security and policy review before released to the public.

What
Information that is originated by, in or for the Air Force, Department of Defense or Federal Government concerning plans, policies, programs or operations must be submitted for security and policy review. If it's official DOD information, submit it!

Where
Topics, briefings, speeches, and other material can be submitted to the Public Affairs office at 377ABW/S&P@kirtland.af.mil or by calling 846-5991. The public affairs office is in the 377 ABW Headquarters; 2000 Wyoming Boulevard SE, building 20604, suite A-1 and A-13.

When
Public Affairs requires 10 business days for review.

How
Submitting material for security and policy review is an easy process, with several steps. First, the coordination form for security and policy review must be completed along with the OPSEC checklist.

Once the form is completed, submit it with material being reviewed.
