Giving thanks Published Nov. 19, 2012 By 377 Air Base Wing Public Affairs KIRTLAND AFB, N.M. -- About 250 students, faculty and family members of the Detachment 1, 342nd Training Squadron's Combat Rescue Officer/Pararescue school at Kirtland AFB enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal Nov. 14 courtesy of the unit's key spouses, Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Federal Credit Union and JR's Bar-B-Que. "Nearly a decade ago, the Air Force Research Laboratory started feeding PJ students a Thanksgiving meal. Despite the PJ school moving from next door to AFRL to across the base, as well as the increasing enrollment, AFRL has continued to provide the meal -- not because they have to, but because they love doing it. The students and leadership appreciate the food and AFRL's continued involvement and dedication to our program," said Maj. Luke Bates, 342 TRS Det. 1 commander.
