The Kirtland Tax Center will be opening for the 2023 tax season at the Consolidated Support Building, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, Feb. 2, 2023.

The tax center is open for active duty E7 and below and officers O-3 and below, and their dependents. It’s also open to retirees who make less than $85,000 a year. Veterans, Department of Defense Civilians, and contractors are not eligible to use this service.

” This is a great opportunity for Airmen and retirees to get their taxes done, correctly,” said Rebecca Auringer, KAFB tax center volunteer. “It's free, so no service member will have to pay out of pocket.”

The tax center will continue operation through April 14th, 2023, and operates by appointment only on a first come, first serve basis. The office’s days and hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m.- 2 p.m. for appointments.
