KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Kirtland's Suicide Prevention Month capped off September with a discussion panel, and 5K run/walk Sept. 27 and 28, respectively. The month included an information campaign to dispel myths and demonstrate the value of kindness. Much of the effort was geared toward letting people know about myriad resources available to those experiencing suicidal thoughts, and to help every member of Team Kirtland know how to better support someone in danger.
Using the #BeThere, Team Kirtland helping professionals will continue to remind everyone of the resources just a phone call or a click away.
