Kirtland Security Forces Police Week Memorial Retreat Ceremony

KIRTLAND AFB, N.M --

The 377th Security Forces Group will finish a series of events for National Police Week (May 14-20, 2017) with a Memorial Retreat Ceremony here May 18 at 4 p.m.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as "National Peace Officers Memorial Day," and the calendar week in which May 15 falls as "National Police Week."

The ceremony will honor all military law enforcement officers fallen since the Global War on Terrorism began as well as fallen officers from surrounding local law enforcement agencies.
