Kirtland will be hosting its quarterly Kirtland Talks seminar on Feb. 9.

Loosely based on the TED Talks series, Kirtland Talks are 90minute seminars teaching Airmen and civilians about the importance of resiliency.

“It’s our way for members of the base to provide information in an interesting and engaging way,” said Teresa Reinhard, Kirtland community support coordinator. “It’s not your typical Air Force briefing with power points. Speakers are encouraged to be creative and interactive.”

Courses feature educators from base or the Albuquerque community, who are leading experts in the topic of the event, allowing base personnel to share their own experiences.

The next Kirtland Talks will focus on “Resiliency in the Community” and will feature four speakers.

The event is worth 15 Leadership Pathway points and is available to base personnel and their spouses.

Kirtland Talks takes place at the 377 Air Base Wing Presentation Center, in Building 20604. There will be two sessions, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact Reinhard at 846-6427.
