91st Missile Wing celebrates Women's History Month

Female Airmen from the 791st Missile Security Forces Squadron pose for a photo at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, March 8, 2024. The first Presidential Proclamation designating Women's History Week was passed in 1980 by President Jimmy Carter. Then, in 1987, the National Women's History Project petitioned to expand the national celebration. As a result, in 1988, Congress and President Ronald Reagan designated the month of March as Women's History Month. This observance celebrates women and their contributions to society. For the women of the military, Women’s History Month is a reminder of the strength and determination their predecessors held. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Caleb S. Kimmell)
