Small Unit

The first week of SWOC provides foundational academic information to prepare cadets to conduct full mission profiles of the Global Access, Precision Strike, and Personnel Recovery missions in week 2. Here, cadets receive classes in AFSPECWAR history and application process, interviews, tactical combat casualty care, small unit tactics, land navigation, troop leading procedures, the eight special warfare attributes: Human Performance, Decision Making, Resiliency, Radio Communications, and Real-World Mission Review. The information and exposure during SWOC will help cadets prepare physically and mentally prior to attending a selection for Special Warfare, called Phase II.
