AFRL summer internship program open for application

The 2014 Air Force Research Laboratory Summer Research Internship program is open for application through Feb. 2. The program offers paid internship opportunities to undergraduate and graduate level university students, as well as upper-level high school students. Intern benefits include:

· Mentorship from experienced AFRL scientists and engineers
· Networking with industry and government leaders and experts
· Developing valuable research skills

AFRL scholars will intern within the AFRL Directed Energy or Space Vehicles Directorates located on Kirtland. They will gain valuable hands-on experience working with AFRL scientists and engineers on leading-edge research and technology that directly supports the Nation's defense. Graduate interns are able to collaborate with AFRL on current research and incorporate the research into their graduate work. 

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and 16 years of age or older. Internships run from late May to mid-August.
