Chief Master Sergeant Amber G. Person is the Career Field Manager for Air Force Safety where she leads, manages, allocates, and monitors over 781 1S0X1 Air Force Specialty Code authorizations worldwide. She formulates the enlisted specialty description and minimum qualification standards, establishes training and resource requirements, resolves career field utilization and training issues, develops career paths, and monitors the health and manning of the career field. Chief Person entered the Air Force in August 1998 from Eureka, California and her background includes several duties in the Personnel and Safety career fields. She has served as a Professional Military Education Instructor and has held various senior enlisted positions while serving at squadron and wing levels.
Chief Person has deployed in support of operations SOUTHERN WATCH and INHERENT RESOLVE and has completed overseas tours in South Korea, Guam, Alaska, and Germany.
