Colonel JASON K. OKUMURA

Colonel Jason K. Okumura is the commander of the 377th Mission Support Group, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.

The group is responsible for providing combat-ready support to the Air Force’s fifth largest installation with 52,000 acers, over 800 facilities, 1,302 housing units, and controlling a $95 million budget to support more than 4,500 military, 18,000 civilian, and 27,000 retirees. It has overall responsibility for base support including civil engineering, force support, logistics, contracting, and communications services.

Colonel Okumura entered the Air Force in 2001 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University. He is a Logistics Readiness Officer with experience in materiel management, distribution, and plans at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.

Colonel Okumura previously served as the Commander, Defense Logistics Agency – Aviation at Ogden, Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
