Colonel JASON D. ALLEN

Col. Jason D. Allen serves as Commander, 58th Special Operations Wing, Kirtland AFB, NM, where he leads 2,300 Airmen teaching 90 courses to over 16,000 students annually. As part of Air Education and Training Command’s 19th Air Force, the wing execute formal aircrew training producing mission-qualified aircrews for operational units flying CV-22B, HH-60G/W, UH-1N, A/H/MC-130J, and MH-139 aircraft; conducts Undergraduate Helicopter Training utilizing the TH-1H at Ft Novosel, Alabama; and operates the USAF’s Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape School at Fairchild AFB, Washington.

Col. Allen commissioned in 1999 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, New Mexico State University, New Mexico. He has commanded at the squadron, expeditionary squadron, and expeditionary group levels. Prior to his current position, Col. Allen was the Deputy Commander, 81st Training Wing, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.

Col. Allen has deployed in support of numerous operations including Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE, NEW DAWN, and other worldwide contingencies. He is a master navigator with over 3,000 hours in the U-28A, MC-130H, and WC- 130J aircraft.
