Retired eighth Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Sam E. Parish was the keynote speaker at the Kirtland AFB Noncommissioned Officer Academy inactivation ceremony held July 31. Chief Parish was also honor graduate of the Kirtland NCO Academy Class D in 1964. The chief reflected fondly on his time at the school and said the lessons he learned here, especially regarding teamwork, lit a fire in his belly that would never go out.
