Mark Villagran, 550th Special Operations Squadron aviation resource manager from Kirtland Air Force Base, laces up his boot after checking for blisters at a rest stop along the course of the Bataan Memorial Death March here March 25. The march is an annual event honoring the World War II veterans who surrendered to Japanese forces on April 9, 1942 while defending the Philippines. Several KAFB Airmen participated in the march.
