GT246 Launches From Vandenberg
An operational test launch of an Air Force Global Strike Command unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile was conducted today, April 19, 2023, at 5:11 a.m. Pacific Time, from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. The missile used in GT-246 launched in the early hours of the morning with a launch command delivered from the Air Launch Control System on a Navy E-6 TACAMO, which stands for “take charge and move out.” This test launch is part of routine and periodic activities intended to demonstrate that the United States’ nuclear deterrent is safe, secure, reliable and effective to deter twenty-first century threats and reassure our allies. Such tests have occurred over 300 times before, and this test is not the result of current world events. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Ryan Quijas)

How DLA fits into the EV procurement puzzle
In an effort to combat the evolving climate crisis, U.S. President Joseph Biden signed Executive Order 14057: “Catalyzing Clean Energy Industries and Jobs Through Federal Sustainability” Dec. 8, 2021. PACIFIC OCEAN 1942 -- Some of the B-25 Mitchells of the Doolittle Raiders crowd the rear deck of the USS Hornet with two escort vessels following close in the background. The B-25s took up most of the deck space of the USS Hornet, so the Navy fighters were stored below on the hangar deck. The USS Enterprise (not seen) provided fighter cover for the task force. The Doolittle Raid, U.S. Army Air Force special order #1 of World War II, was a daring one-way mission of 16 B-25 Mitchell medium bombers with 80 aircrew, commanded by Lt. Col. James "Jimmy" Doolittle, to carry out America's first offensive attack on Japan. (Photo courtesy National Museum of the U.S. Air Force)
