576th FLTS perform software test upgrades
Capt. Kristoffer Ty, 91st Missile Wing missileer, operates the blast door before entering the Equipment Support Room at the Minuteman Engineering Integration Facility (MEIF) at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Sep. 21, 2022. An operational task force comprised of combat crewmembers from the 90th Missile Wing, the 91st Missile Wing, and the 341st Missile Wing, joined test professionals from the 576th Flight Test Squadron to perform Software Operational Testing at the Strategic Missile Integration Complex (SMIC), Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Sep. 21, 2022. Software Operational Testing is one of many test portfolios the 576th Flight Test Squadron is responsible for performing. Validating software upgrades is essential to the safe operation, effective command & control, and long-term sustainment of the ground-based leg of the U.S. Air Force nuclear triad.
