SrA Ke'Asia Dowdell, 357th Airlift Squadron, suits up for flight training under the 512th Rescue Squadron on Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico on June 23, 2023, as they prepare to open Maxwell Air Force Base's FTU for the new MH-139A helicopter. Boeing began production of the first 13 MH-139A Grey Wolf helicopters following the award of a $285 million contract from the U.S. Air Force for aircraft, maintenance and support services. Kirtland Airmen assists Civil Air Patrol with training
Airmen from Kirtland Air Force Base helped Civil Air Patrol complete an intensive Pararescue and Survival Orientation Course on the installation at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, June 6-16, 2023. These students came from 28 different states and Puerto Rico, attending the course in the hope to one day enter military service. The course was only one step to better prepare those thinking about their future.
