Trees for Troops
Matt Montano, Kirtland Force Support Squadron director carries a tree for Angelica Romero, and her children, Konnor and Brantley Romero. Romero picked out her tree during the Trees for Troops event Dec. 7 at the Chapel here. The two-day event provided free trees for members of Team Kirtland. Holiday treats
Seven hundred and eight-two dozen cookies were baked, donated, and/or collected and coordinated by the Kirtland Spouses Club Dec. 5 and 6. They were then delivered by the First Sergeants Council and additional volunteers to dormitory residents Dec. 6. The annual cookie drive, a tradition kept alive year after year by the work of the Spouses Club, ensures that Airmen living in the dormitories have homemade holiday treats. More than 30 Spouses Club members were joined by active duty volunteers to collect and package the cookies. (Photos by Jessie Perkins)
