KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The Air Force Research Laboratory directorates at Kirtland Air Force Base showcased the benefits of federal employment with information fairs Sept. 28-29 at the Phillips Presentation Center.
Senior Personnel Adviser Lisa Rader said the fairs were the first of their kind at AFRL, but she plans to hold them again in 12 months. She designed them to show people that the grass isn’t necessarily greener in other employment.
The fairs followed a director’s call for each directorate.
The events included information on benefits ranging from paid physical training time and retirement to technology transfer, foreign travel and science, technology, engineering and math outreach.
Attendees also won door prizes and had refreshments.
