Base aims to raise $400,000 during Combined Federal Campaign Published Sept. 13, 2013 By Adam Bailey Nucleus staff writer KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Kirtland's Combined Federal Campaign will start Sept. 17 and run through Nov. 12. "This year we have a goal to raise at least $400,000 for our campaign," said Master Sgt. Richard Quintanilla, CFC installation officer. There will be a kickoff for the CFC installation campaign at the Raymond G. Murphy Veteran Affairs Medical Center's courtyard Sept. 17 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. At the event, there will be various booths from different federal, state and local organizations with charity information. Base unit representatives can pick up their CFC supplies at the event. "Anyone who would like to make a donation can contact a unit or installation representative," Quintanilla said. The mission of the CFC is to help promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. The CFC is one of the largest annual workplace charity campaigns. Pledges made to the campaign from Federal civilian, postal and military donors help support non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.
